Three Day New Year Celebration!

A spa day, great food, conversations with other adults, movies, and happy children...who could ask for more???

The China Beach annual New Year celebration was expanded to a 3 day extravaganza this year and we think it just might become a new tradition! The festivities began on the 30th with a spa day at the King Eddy hotel ...

From the soothing lemon tea upon arrival, to the champagne and orange juice at the end of our treatments, it was just a treat.

The next day, we had fun shopping for boxing day deals and then going out on New Year's Eve for a double movie outing ~ the girls saw Princess and the Frog while the moms saw Up in the Air in the theatre right next door. That was a first, our big girls venturing out on their own!

Despite all the activity, there was plenty of time for lounging around, watching movies and reading some of our new books...

Although we really missed Janet and Kate for the first bit, the party was complete when they joined us on day 3...

More eating and then more gifts!

We really didn't want the fun to end - so we're looking forward to more good times in 2010!

Happy New Year to all our family and friends!

We've done it again in 2010 --there's my new year's rhyme.

Thank you for having us all for the 3-day-event - a wonderful tradition -- and you know how I feel about those -- almost sacrosanct -- is it sacreligious to say that??

the verification word today is SUPEC -- combo super and perfect -- says it all.
