This year, Cassidy's school was one of five chosen from our school district to work with a singer-songwriter on a full year Literacy Through Music project - each grade 5 classroom in those 5 schools worked with Greg to write an original song about one of the "ism" issues - Cassidy's class was assigned racism. They worked all year with Greg on the song, music and performance, and then on one amazing evening in April, all those grade 5 classes performed their original songs with Gregg's band. We could not believe how super the performance was - professional, uplifting, inspiring - the gift Gregg gave those children - and those of us who attended - was beyond measure.
