This may be it - the last year with both girls and Santa. As it was, it took a little bribery to get Miz B to pose with the jolly old elf this evening (amazing what the promise of a large turkey sub will do).
I feel a little nostalgic about yet another reminder of how quickly this is all passing so had to post the photo capturing the look of their Christmas happiness (after I prettied up the ordinary mall photo just a bit).
However, I also feel oddly satisfied this year. Amazingly, the house is decorated inside and out, ALL the Christmas cards are written and mailed, and as of today, 95% of the shopping is done.
I don't recognize myself.
But am loving it. ;-)

Does Cassidy still believe in Santa, or was that debunked last year? Your niece is still buying it hook line and sinker but I know the countdown is on to complete disillusionment.
You're making me feel completely inadequate. Not done shopping. The house is mostly decorated, but we haven't done any cards and it's possible we might not get 'em out this year.
But go you!
Oh she believes!
Turkey sub - that's all it took?! Hehe...
Good for you, being prepared for Christmas - feels good, doesn't it? This year hasn't been my year for being on top of things - oh well, there is always next year!
Paul and I would love to get together with you guys over the holidays!
a great shot of the big girls -- remember the first year with Cassidy... -- we have all our Santa pictures up over the years -- and Julia said after looking at all of them -- that only last year did she see the REAL Santa at her mall -- This is based on the authenticity of the beard -- she thinks he takes turns going from mall to mall -- and she was lucky last year -- But knows that these other guys help out and send the messages along.
The message from Santa on the computer really put her over the top with excitement.
got your holiday card yesterday -- well done, you!
That is great Lianne you are doing a wonderful job, although we are decorated I have basically nothing shopped for. Not sure why but feeling kind of down. Starting to get excited but am happy that your girls are still going for a pic. macLean hasn't gone for at least three years.
anyway looking forward to holiday cheer and now that my sister is here I am beginning to feel more festive!
great job on the letter it is beautiful!
Beautiful picture!! We're going this week for "the photo". I too am feeling on top of things finally!! House has been decorated since early November (ya, I'm insane that way), Christmas gifts are all bought, and the baking has started. Now I just need to get everything wrapped, and get the Christmas cards out! Got your's this week ... thank you!
